Kalimdor: Azshara

The Southfury Falls rained down on the eternally autumn lands that were once the seat of Elven power.

Only a handful of Night Elves remained along the sundered coasts.

Highborne spirits haunted all that remained of the Shadowsong Shrine.

The Ruins of Eldarath were once the most magnificent Elven city on Kalimdor.

A magical monument still stood amid the fallen buildings.

The Temple of Zin-Molar was once a Temple of the Moon.

The Horde encroached on the Elves native lands, building a small outpost at Valormok.

They scouted the area and fortified their stake at Forlorn Ridge ...

... as did the Alliance, but both awaited a battle that never came.

The native Timbermaw Furbolg were one of the last uncorrupted tribes.

The enormous entrance to Timbermaw Hold seemed impenetrable.

Demons corrupted the land within in the Legash Encampment.

While Blood Elves at the Thalssian Base Camp defiled the ruins in search of Highborne artifacts.

The gravely shores along The Jagged Reef were the resting place of many wayward ships ... and adventurers.

The Bitter Reaches' steep cliffs were perilous to cross.

The Tower of Eldara stood on the northern edge of the Bay.

The Temple of Arkkoran was once a temple to the Elves' Goddess, Elune, but was usurped by the sea giant Arkkoroc.

The Bay of Storms was filled with treacherous shallows and numerous islands and the remains of seaside buildings.
Scalebeard's Cave was home to a legendary sea creature.

An underwater temple served as Hetaera's Clutch, filled with the spawn of the enormous hydra.

The Hydraxian Waterlords surfaced from their element to beg aid from adventures.

A tiny island served as a landing pad.

Naga infested the beaches along The Shattered Strand.

The survives of the Horizon Scout huddled in the remains of their ship which was dashed upon the rocks along Ruined Reaches.

The Gadgetsprings made their home in a cliffside cove.

Inland, the Blue Dragonflight gathered around Lake Mennar.

Nearly wiped from existance in the Sundering that tore this land apart, the Blues became evasive and aggressive.

A lone bridge survived to carry the adventurous to the outlying cliffs.

The massive ruins of the Ravencrest Monument are all that remain of Kur'talos Ravencrest's legacy in the War of the Ancients.

For a land so steeped in loss an sorrow winter never comes and memories never fade.
