Eastern Kingdoms: Silvermoon City

Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider's visage loomed over the entrances to Silvermoon City.

The splendor of the Blood Elves greeted visitors at the Walk of Elders.

The extravagance of the Bazaar as was once seen from the city walls.

The Blood Elves' influence reached far beyond the arcane; the Royal Exchange flaunted their financial might.

The majestic Court of the Sun stood as a testament to the Blood Elves' power.

Pageantry and pride guarded the entrance to Sunfury Spire.

The heavily guarded Royal Library within Sunfury Spire was once a place of great knowledge and learning for Magi and laypersons alike.

No expense - magical or mundane - was spared inside The Royal Exchange.

Even the less prosperous parts of town were thick with decadence.

Yet not all things within the city's walls were as gleaming, and all of the people within as guiltless as their leaders would have you think.

For many years the Blood Knights used this chamber to siphon power from M'uru, the Naaru, and used it to master The Light.

Beneath Murder Row warlocks convene to experiment with their dark magics.

Silvermoon tailors have enslaved and caged several leper gnomes in the dark basement of their otherwise lavish shop.

Even the city walls cannot fully hold back the destruction of The Scourge.

The Dead Scar sundered the city, the western half of which was abandoned.

Skulking Row never recovered from The Scourge's destruction.

The Ruins of Silvermoon remained as a reminder that even the mightiest nation was not safe from the power of The Scourge.

The only inhabited part of the Ruins, Falconwing Square's few residents stood defiantly amid the rubble.

Even under the shadow of the encroaching Cataclysm, the Blood Elves strove to recover and rebuild from Scourge and the betrayal of their leader.
